Comfort Inn (Duncansville)

We recently stayed on the weekend here and there are some issues that need to be addressed since our last stay over a year ago kudos however to the 2nd shift desk clerk for remembering us, but we asked for daily housekeeping, she wrote it down however next evening we came back to find no fresh towels or cleaning checked at from desk to confirm clerk say yes nobody came to clean, had to get our own towels very slow wi-fi and terrible connection issues had to go next door to Hoss Steakhouse and use there wi-fi, called the connection troubleshooting # in hotel they said to call, but was told it was a regular complaint and was a hotel matter No clock in room, never have heard of a hotel with no clock no newspapers in lobby, again most hotels have daily papers for customers poor breakfast selection with same hot foods each day, no variety, and some things empty such as OJ and milk for breakfast Sadly we have been told some of this is corporate decisions, understandable still. change is not always for the better

Stayed two nights while in the area for a family funeral. We have stayed in the Comfort several times before, and they have maintained and improved it through the years. Friendly and helpful staff helped with some suggestions and printing. Good comfortable beds, clean functional bathrooms, and a traditional, good, breakfast. Hotel is not far off I-99 and Route 22, with a Hoss's steakhouse across the parking lot in one direction, and Marzoni's Brick Oven & Brewing Co. on the opposite side. Parts of family tried both, and enjoyed their meals.

The staff her is what makes it wonderful! Front desk clerks, housekeeper-Ellen, window washer man with brown hoodie on, Kelly at breakfast. I’ve never seen a team of people at a hotel be so friendly and helpful, going out of their way just to make the entire experience even better. They seem to truly be a work “family” and enjoy each other, too. The hotel is definitely aging…. Carpet in room is kinda yucky, there was red crayon on the wall by the light switch, the bathtub was mildly cracking near the drain , there was wax on the couch pillow, the room Keurig didn’t work…. But those were minor things for the extremely reasonable price, a pool for the kids, complementary water, coffee and hot cocoa 24/7, and the friendliness of staff, the delicious and plentiful breakfast and the closeness to Hoss’s! We’ll be back !
