We reserved a king bed. They only have one. Opened the door to the room and got hit by a very musty smell with mold on the ceiling. It was hard to breathe in that room. Went back to the office and told them that. They gave us a newly renovated double Queen bed room. Much better. Small tv and bathroom. Refrigerator has no freezer. Clean room with marble looking floor. All new counter tops and bathroom. Until they can renovate the king room, it shouldn't available anytime.

We booked this place through Expedia. Three couples, three rooms. They were supposed to be all kings. Only one was and let me tell you it was the prize winner! Let's start on pros: the inn is close to things we wanted to do. The towels were very white and clean. The mattresses (which we checked for bed bugs) seemed new and clean. The sheets were clean. There was a nice (small) play area for kids. That's were it ends. Every room smelled HORRIBLE. We worked for 2. hours to get another accommodation. It was Juneteenth, Father's Day weekend and Thomas the train was at the station and Lauren Daigle in town. The reception area, which was also the continental breakfast room, STUNK so bad. That should have told us to turn around and leave right then. We soldiered on because we were tired and hot from being at the Green Dragon all day and we wanted to get in. MISTAKE. Our room has a slanted floor going in the door. There was a sign saying Please watch your steps. Yes, that's plural, because the bathroom had a step up! There was a pole/column on the side of the bed? The bathroom was awful except for the towels. The shower, like something out of a horror movie. I'd have had to have a current tetanus shot and been days without water to even brave that up. No thanks. We slept with Vick's Vapor Rub under our noses to keep the smell at bay. The pull out couch, we didn't pull out, but I'm sure I had that same couch in my first apartment in the early 80's. The carpet was stained, smelly and gross. I never stepped out of the bed without putting my socks on my feet. My sister was begging us to sleep in our cars. We paid $127 for the night. The pool was full of debris, never heard a pump running. Wouldn't step in that either. One funny highlight was at check in the lady told my sisters that their doors had recently been painted and they needed to count the doors to figure out their room?!?!? Never mentioning that that they were by 2's! We asked one lady who was there and she said she was room 12 so we counted back to find 6 & 8. At that point the lady said, they're just even numbers.????? Well, our room was 23 so do that math??? Mistakes were made, lessons were learned. You've been forewarned.
