Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Outlet Village

We arrived at the hotel with a pre-paid reservation for a king suite to be told it had been cancelled earlier in the day due to an issue with the credit card but they didn't have a phone on file for us so couldn't call us. When asked to speak with the manager we were told there was no way to contact them until tomorrow but if we wanted we could book a new room but none of the same were any longer available (and we'd have to pay for it again!) After a significant amount of back and forth and getting Chase Travel involved, dealing with someone who was unauthorized to do anything and apparently had no way of contacting someone who was, we left and found a different hotel. Clearly very poorly run. We were disappointed bc they do have ev chargers in the lot which would have been convenient for us and spent over an hour dealing with this when we were supposed be somewhere.

In town for the West Reading Fire & Spice Festival, the Comfort Inn was perfect being only 1 mile away and extremely reasonable, finding a rate of only $57 for a king room. We stayed here about 15 years ago when it was under another chain name and appreciate the Comfort Inn's upgrade. This 4 story hotel isn't the Hilton, but it was clean and had a decent continental breakfast that was perfect to get you out and on your way. They had waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, pastries, yogurt, fruit, coffee, tea, juices etc. They do need to serve orange juice though, because what they were calling OJ was more like a fruit blend beverage. Another negative is they only have 1 small elevator and though we had no problems, I can image the nightmare with a full hotel. There was plenty of parking and the young lady at the check in desk was very nice. There is no pool, but I does have a great location next to all the shopping and restaurants in Wyomissing, a mile to classic Penn Ave in West Reading and 5 minutes to center city Reading. We would certainly stay here again on our next visit to the area.

We stayed here today to attend a birthday party for a relative. Hotel was nice. Very close to everything. We have stayed here before. Hotel was clean. Staff was nice. We would stay here again. Plenty of vehicle parking. Next to the old hotel that was torn down.
