HOWARD JOHNSON INN - NEWPORT AREA/MIDDLETOWN

Great experience! The facility is always clean, well kept and comfortable. I appreciate their attention to detail and the posture to keep the customer's needs at the forefront. Keep up the good work!

Very, very noisy. Yelling in halls, slamming doors, people trying to open our door - all up to and after midnight for 3 days. Walls are paper thin. Hoards of people at free breakfast of fake eggs, terrible tasting waffles and brown bananas. Housekeeping knocking on our door to talk to us even though we had ‘do not disturb sign’ hanging on doorknob and it was not yet checkout time.

We have stayed at the best western express, Holiday Inn Express, and Howard Johnsons, over the past 7 states on our long road trip, in comparison to all the other hotels, the breakfast quality at this hotel was poor, all the food seemed cheap and bottom of the barrel the whirlpool spa appearance was kinda gross and the water inside questionable, the layout of the facility was strange, moving from long hallways with large doors to another. The aesthetics of the room were nice but I would prefer a clean comfortable room/bed and some good food before heading out.
