Good location on Thames Street in an historic building with a beautiful garden. Top floor room (8) to be avoided, very squashed and uncomfortable with poor amenities. Poor value for the money. Included breakfast and afternoon tea of good quality and freshly prepared. Comfortable and very pleasant sitting rooms on the first floor for the guests use. Rooms facing Thames Street can be noisy.

This bed-and-breakfast was absolutely amazing. The rooms are very cozy, and much larger than I had anticipated. The courtyard in the middle is extremely tranquil and spending the morning or late afternoon there is a delight. The best part of all, though, is the staff. They are very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Newport. The location, as well, is perfect.

My daughter and I were put upstairs. There are no porters on site so she lugged our luggage upstairs. I ha recent surgery and struggle with stairs! There is NO elevator. The solution was to move us to several rooms over the next week as they came available. We requested a refund after the first evening for the remainder of the week so we could locate another place. The owner refused even with plenty of notice so we left to go elsewhere to a room that did not require me climbing the stairs. BTW again my daughter lugged the luggage down the staircase. The staff was very nice and apologetic, but the owner said NO! So they kept our money!
