I stayed for 3 nights with three friends in two rooms with 2 queens in each. The location of the hotel was very convenient to everything and also very quiet. Our room had no view, but also meant that it was super quiet. It was clean with historic/classic touches throughout. We also enjoyed the small but adequate pool and gym. Enjoyed the breakfast pastries and coffee on the floor each morning. My only complaint was the door entry system for the rooms. The keys are extremely sensitive and we had to have ours reprogrammed several times during our stay. We were warned about that, but its pretty hard to keep a key card away from everything else.

My fiance' booked a room in the Market Pavilion Hotel for two nights in July 2026, and it was wonderful. The hotel has a very old world, classy and elegant vibe about it. Our room was on the fourth floor overlooking the Marketplace, it was impeccably clean and very comfortable. The in room fridge was a nice touch, as was the beautiful armoire that contained personal his and hers, terry cloth robes and slippers. The bed was extremely comfortable, and I am the worlds most finicky person when it comes to comfortable beds. We had dinner in the first floor restaurant one evening, and at the suggestion of our waiter, we tried the nitro infused cocktails that they are famous for. The entire dinner was an excellent experience. We also enjoyed time at the rooftop bar and pool. This is where we will stay whenever we return to Charleston.

Market Pavillion Hotel is steps away from the City Market, the waterfront and many other hot spots. There is a great ice cream place around the corner called Wafflin, the rooftop is perfect for an afternoon cocktail, and the housekeeping service is fantastic! Towels were constantly replaced and nightly turndown came with a delicious cookie. I highly recommend!
