Myrtle Beach Resort Vacations

I don’t expect everything to be fancy. I just expect clean, and all of the amenities were! The pools were clear and not slimy. The staff were friendly, and the children’s activities were wonderful. The laundry machines were clean and functioned great. We were more than happy with our stay and already booked our return.

This USED to be our go-to resort when looking for a beach get away with lots of amenities and a clean-family friendly vibe, but that is NOT what we experienced this year and we will never return. We used to frequent MBR from around 2008-2020, but this resort is NOT what it used to be. There was garbage EVERYWHERE, outside in bushes and around the buildings, in the parking lot, at the pools. The pools and lazy river were cloudy, dirty, and felt extremely gross, the only one we didn’t feel absolutely grossed out by was the renaissance tower pool. There are security guards everywhere now but no workers who are maintaining the property, there used to be resort workers who would enforce lazy river and pool rules AND keep the place clean. The entire vibe of the resort has changed including the people who seem to visit there. It used to have more of a “hidden gem” feel and now it honestly feels Trashy. There were people who seemed to not even own bathing suits and the overall feel of our visit was simply gross. There are some condo units that are very clean and updated, but that doesn’t make up for the overall feel that this resort has drastically deteriorated in the last 6 or 7 years.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the five season part of the Myrtle Beach Resort. The outside needed some updating, the inside they started. The attention to detail wasn't the best the toilet was loose. There's paint on the Windows, paint on a light fixtures the rug was a trip hazard. We just moved it out of the way. TV was a joke no instructions about how to use it too many channels with the internet and stuff it was too hard to use. The location of the resort was good with Walmart across the street and we just used lyft everywhere we went because we didn't rent a car $10 a day to park your car is ridiculous. Never stayed at a place that we had to bring our own shampoo and conditioner I thought we were back into like the 70s. They put a new breakfast bar top on and it's way too high you can see up underneath it with all the caulking not even on the bracket did not look good. So overall we gave it about a six and a half out of 10.
