Atlantic Breeze Ocean Resort by Oceana Resorts

We booked 1106 Bahama Sands through Elliott Beach Rentals for 8 nights (Sept 15-23, 2026) and stayed only 1. This unit is advertised as part of their Luxury Program, but our experience was anything but luxurious. The first evening, we discovered numerous German cockroaches—both adults and baby nymphs—throughout the unit, including crawling on kitchen counters, on the the floor, inside drawers, in the master bathroom, and around the washer/dryer. We even found what appeared to be cockroach droppings on the kitchen internet router. Seeing babies and adults was extremely concerning and appeared consistent with a significant infestation. The unit was also very dirty: sand piled on the floors, our feet were black within hours of walking around, trash behind furniture, stained walls, mold on the master tub jets, dusty kitchen ceilings, and dirty dishes/silverware in cabinets. We had our 3-month-old baby with us and were extremely concerned about this rentals exposure and about cockroaches getting into our luggage and coming home with us. We barely slept that night. We contacted Elliott during the night twice and went to their office when they opened. Although we received a full refund, we had to relocate on our own, move all our luggage and approximately $400 in groceries without a luggage cart, and lost an entire day of our vacation dealing with this. The main pool was also closed due to a pump issue. Beds were uncomfortable, pillows stained, living room couch uncomfortable to even sit on. Such a shame as the view was gorgeous. A “Luxury Program” rental should not have this level of pest and cleanliness problems. 8 nights booked. 1 night endured. The refund was appreciated, but it doesn't make up for the disruption, stress, and concern of potentially bringing cockroaches home and being exposed to the diseases they carry—especially with an infant. Absolutely unacceptable for a property marketed as luxury.

Suute 907. August 23 to August 30, 2025 Old look, old dark furniture, terrible pots and pans, k- cup coffee maker broken, no beach towels provided, ice maker did not work, advertised fitness center discontinued and locked up even tho website has pics of one, bedrooms had dust balls and cereal under bed and in corners...terrible door design in 1 bedroom....3 doors within 2-3 feet of eachother. Could not use all doors at 1 time!!! Note : I was a condo owner in Marco Islanf, FL. For 5 years. I Did like digit security for room and pool. I stayed in Laugna Keys in 2024 was much, much BETTER.

This is the worst place to stay in MB. We checked in at 4:30, thirty minutes past check in time, beds in two of the three rooms were not made. We contacted housekeeping and they came and made the beds. The next day at 2:30pm the rental company called to tell us we had to vacate the space due to bed bug infestation, which they knew about before we checked in. They never offered to find us another place to stay , just told us we had to check out. We lost our golf times and beach times and had to drive back to Atlanta that afternoon as there were no rooms at the inn. This Resort and Vacasa (rental company) are not to be trusted. We will never return to Myrtle Beach because of them.
