This is the most run down motel I have ever stayed at. Plus, the rates they advertised were “ not available”. The AC was so noisy I couldn’t sleep. The shower water could not be adjusted to hot. Breakfast was stale toast and curdled milk.. ugh !!!

We stayed here last week after our reservation for a cabin in Tellico Plains was canceled without us knowing (we found out the night we were trying to check in) and at first this hotel didn't have a pet friendly room for us but the next day, Sunday, we got lucky and were able to get a pet friendly room. We checked in Sunday afternoon with the owner's son (we later found this out) and he was very nice, along with his dad. We extended our stay (we were only going to stay a couple nights until a cabin opened at a campground we stayed at before until that campground refused to take us claiming we would be bringing bedbugs 🙄). The room was very clean, bed was comfortable and the carpet is old and had worn spots but overall we were very happy with our stay and will definitely be staying there again. We didn't try the continental breakfast so I can't comment on it but there are multiple restaurants nearby and there is a small fridge in the room so we were able to keep drinks cold. The pet fee (at the time we stayed) was $10 per day for dogs under 25 lbs (if I remember the weight correctly) and $15 per day for dogs over that weight. There is a duck pond behind the hotel that we visited daily.

There was no one at the front desk. I had to call the hotel to see if anyone could come to the desk. The room was not ready at check-in time. Overall, the staff was pleasant, engaging and very interested in sharing information about the city and what activities were available. They just seemed very disorganized. The room was large and seemed clean. However, we found a single immature cockroach walking around in the sink. The internet was painfully slow. A luggage cart would have been a great amenity, as the distance from the lobby to many of the rooms is significant.
