Ah, what can I say about this hotel? I was getting desperate when I booked a room with them, because every other hotel was full and I’d been driving for 13 hours. As far as pros go, it’s easy to find from the interstate, and the guy at the desk was super helpful. Each room has a microwave and a mini-fridge, and the shower had excellent water pressure. My room was cheap, too; since it was only me, I paid $46. However, there is one significant drawback: this hotel looks like the set for a horror movie. An oh-my-gosh-the-locals-are-kidnapping-and-torturing-the-tourists horror movie.
I’m not sure what they were going for with the décor. The curtains were a lovely tan and burgundy plaid, but they clashed strikingly with the 80’s-style floral print on the bedspreads. The decorator also decided to hang identical prints of an idyllic pond behind each bed; maybe it was buy-one-get-one-free. There were signs of multiple patches in the wall (perhaps from violent fisticuffs) and a hole they hadn’t filled in yet. The microwave was purely decorative and the free WiFi turned out to be no WiFi. I also had to switch rooms because there was mold growing on the wall. There was mold on the ceiling of the second room’s bathroom, but at that point I was exhausted and just wanted to sleep. Sleep was difficult, however, because the sheets had a cigarette burn, the pillows smelled, and I didn't want to lose hold of my pepper spray.
This place will do if you’re in a pinch or if you’re an aspiring film student who needs a cheap set for a budget slasher film. Otherwise, spend some extra and head on down to the Holiday Inn.

Ok, where do I start? Do I mention the smell of the place, the holes in the walls and doors? What about the roach that I found in my drink can after leaving it on the nightstand for a few hours The smoke alarm that kept going off all nite until we had to unplug it. The continental breakfast that consisted of several days old mini donuts. The manager of the motel barging into our room when I was trying to take a nap during the middle of the day. The pillows were so nasty I can't even find the words to describe them, Having to walk around in socks because the carpet was so nasty. The price was getting higher the later the night got because of the 127 sale bringing in so many travelers. The pool that had been filled in and made into a vegetable garden?? I was so thankful that I walked away without getting bedbugs, and no I didn't see any but this place looked perfect for them to thrive. I would advise anyone to drive 50 miles in either direction before stopping here.

Is there not a health department in Crossville responsible for seeing that places like this are condemned? We had the EXACT experience as DotHeck. Unbelievably nasty. They don't even try at this place... Continental breakfast? Are you serious? Who would eat anything originating from this place. My husband would not even brush his teeth here. And that pool? Straight out of The Shining. It is so nasty the motel office cannot even stand to be in the same building. What is wrong with people?
