Westgate River Terrace Resort

Comfortable bed, and clean room with mini fridge and microwave. Our room had a balcony overlooking the river and mountains. Staff was very friendly. Excellently located, just a short walk to main strip shopping, food, and attractions. We will definitely be coming back here.

Older hotel, so don’t expect new well appointed decor. It was clean, beds were comfy. Breakfast is prepackaged muffins, bars, coffee, juice. Even though is is right downtown it was NOT noisy. Easy walk to the aquarium. Only one pool was open and it was crowded in the evening. The staff was SO nice and welcoming. If you are looking for economical lodging , quick grab breakfast, no frills clean and free parking, this will be it.

We were traveling from Florida to Kentucky and just decided to stop over night in Gatlinburg. We were looking for a reasonable rate and good walking proximity to the Village area in town. We love the Donut Frair! We found a great rate on one of the travel sites. We called to verify a midnight arrival and they have staff on duty 24 hours. We were in the convention center building which is not on the river. For one night, this was ok with us. There was a nice balcony over the parking lot but it had a view of anekesta. The room was clean but a bit dated. This building hasn’t been revamped like the river front buildings. The bedding and towels were nice. The mattresses were a bit lumpy but surprisingly comfortable. They had soaps and shampoo/conditioner. The bathroom had an updated rounded shower curtain. However, there was some rust on the tub grab bar and the bathroom door was peeling at the bottom from humidity. There was an old time heat light in the bathroom but it wasn’t working. They had a hairdryer, microwave, coffee maker and refrigerator. **One note is that they have soft water which we aren’t used to.** Yeah There was a continental breakfast with juice, coffee, tea, oatmeal packets, and muffins. We were able to leave our car parked on-site after we checked out while we went for a few hours in town. This saved us time and parking lot money.
