Exceptional stay! This Holiday Inn Express in Germantown, TN, offers a uniquely peaceful experience. Tucked away in a wooded area, it feels like a quiet country getaway complete with grazing deer, yet maintains the high standards of cleanliness and comfort you expect. Every staff member we encountered was warm and friendly. I especially want to commend Mr. Rick, who did my colleague and me a tremendous favor by waiving our fees when we had to leave earlier than planned. His professionalism and empathy were deeply appreciated. As a Level 6 Local Guide, I give this property my highest recommendation."

The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were soft, which was definitely the best part of our stay. Unfortunately, there were several things that made the overall experience disappointing. There was no coffee in the room, and the complimentary breakfast was very minimal—the eggs appeared powdered and the only meat option was chicken sausage, so we chose not to eat. The room itself could also use some attention. The shower curtain was torn in two places, and the hair dryer looked like it had been around since 1985. Even more concerning, it appeared to have an electrical issue and became extremely hot to the touch while using it. Interestingly, the room included an itemized list of what guests would be charged if certain items were damaged or went missing. Given the condition of a few of the items already in the room, perhaps guests should receive a credit when they arrive broken or in need of replacement. The comfortable bed earns some points, but overall the maintenance, amenities and breakfast fell short of what I expect from a Holiday Inn.

I cannot say enough wonderful thing about the hotel and the amazing staff. We had a horrible experience with a hotel in Memphis from another chain. (vehicle break in with no security or working cameras) A Memphis police officer recommended this hotel which spoke volumes. The GM Mr. Rick and the Sales Mgr. Ms. Hemmy quickly accommodated us with a room at the last minute. They bent over backwards to ensure our stay and safety with them was the last thing we had to worry about. They were kind enough to allow us a late check out the following day in order to have our vehicle window replaced. I also want to recognize the other staff members that made our stay an excellent experience: Andrew (Front Desk), Chris (Front Desk) and Ramasha (Front Desk). The management and full staff didn't just go through the motions as you see in other hotels or chains, they truly cared.
