Holiday Inn Express & Suites Southwind

Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Not much of a selection on breakfast. Mostly giving this rating due to the fact that maid service entered my room with sign on the door. None of my personal belongings appeared to have been touched but I still felt violated.

I needed a last minute place to say and came across this hotel right off the exit. Clean inside and well lit outside made me feel safe while in the area. Room was standard holiday inn express but exceptionally clean and refreshing. Breakfast was great and had various items to choose from. Thank you to staff and management for giving me next day lunch recommendations and just taking great care of me. Next time I am in the area I will definitely be staying here!

The good: Hotel was clean, shower pressure was good, and breakfast was good, window hvac unit was loud but worked well. The bad: Beds were super uncomfortable. Location of the hotel is not great. Bumpy driveway with many potholes in a dark corner next to a weird church. They tried to light up the parking lot and did a pretty good job on one side of the hotel but the other side was pretty dim. There were guys in the parking lot smoking weed. Way to close to the highway so trucks were by all day and night Guy that checked us in was annoyed that we interrupted his youtube videos. A fight in the room beside us went on for hours with the police being called. The front desk worker finally came up to "help" which was her calling the police, who took 30 minutes to get there, and who did nothing once they got there. While that is probably not an everyday event, it was definitely NOT worth the price we paid. Will never be back.
