HOLIDAY INN SELECT MEMPHIS-EAS

Great experience overall. Hotel is about 20 mins drive from all the Memphis sights and downtown which was exactly what we wanted. If you want to be in the Beale st action this isn’t the place. It’s in a quiet part of town and very close to restaurants and shops including Whole Foods. Corner King room is very spacious with a wall of windows. Room has nice natural light but the room got quite warm because of the many windows and high heat outdoors. There’s a fridge in the room. Professional helpful staff. Lots of self parking - you have to pay using a QR code. There’s a bar in the lobby with happy hour. Seems to be lots of business travelers. Highly recommend.

We’ve stayed here a couple times in the recent past and both times have been less than adequate. One stay we checked in and the TV did not work, had to change rooms. Most recently, door to room did not properly close, wall thermostat did not work, used unit controls which are under a cabinet with limited light, ice makers were not working, dim light in shower area, TV worked, but could not change channels, coffee maker had no tray to place coffee packet in, much later, found (black) tray on the floor (on dark carpet). Computer in common area didn’t work, staff printed documents we needed. When we checked in we were reminded of breakfast hours, but no mention of evening hours at a time when we would have expected the bistro to be open. By all appearances, it seemed the hotel was understaffed. That aside, the room was comfortable and staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. We’re loyal to Marriott and hope any future stay would be more satisfactory.

Stayed at this hotel for a conference. The room was clean. I like it very cold when I sleep and since I was staying with someone else who Likes it polar and when I asked for an extra blanket they didn’t have any. The hotel air quality was terrible, o think they were cleaning the center some mold. They had a wonderful breakfast and lunch area. The food was very well maintained and the server Terrance was the best thing about the hotel. He was super friendly. He was super on top of his service and very very polite. Highly recommend eating and asking for Terrance.
