Westgate Tunica Resort

Worst experience we have ever had. We were the only people in whole resort. The room we got had some bugs on floor and seemed dirty, they gave us another room with no heat, waited 2 hours for them to fix it only to tell us the whole system fell out of wall and had to be replaced. They cleaned the first room and we had to go back there. No other room even had sheets on beds,. No WI-FI, old broken 2nd hand furniture in rooms, nothing matched. could get 7 channels on TV in living room and 4 channels in bedroom. Had phone in kitchen but no cord to plug it in. Dirty and moldy ,just a really eerie feel to it. They had a security guard sitting at entrance all day and night. Had manager ( I assume ) come into our room while we were out and take dishes out of our cabinet and throw out my air fryer bag and grocery ( not plastic ). We asked the single employee in office if she came in our room and took things out and she told us no it was the manager. The pool was filled with debri and branches and half full of black water. We stayed 2 days and left. We got through Interval exchange group and when we clled them we were told this resort had been shut down and our reservation had somehow slipped through. We called Westgate and got reservation center, they told us they could do nothing about it or for us. It was all Intervals fault. Interval did give us another week free, but at limited resorts. Westgate would not even talk to us, we asked reservation center if we could talk to a manager or someone in complaint department or just anyone and they said no, they were sorry, but, there is nothing they can do. You can do online to book at this resort now and it will not tell you it is closed, just that they are booked up and try a different date. We have stayed at many Westgate resorts and this is our first bad experience. With the customer service we got we will never stay at another one. If I were in charge of customer service I would be doing everything I could to try to make up for this nightmare. Not even a courtesy call or we are sorry.

I am a Westgate owner. This Westgate is a dump, dirty, holes in walls, door knobs falling off, ac/heat doesn't work, carpets are old and dirty, cloth chairs have worn material. You are better off sleeping in your car.

I have stayed at several Westgates and this is by far the worst one . it is outdated , in need of all kind of upgrades ! as a owner I was very disappointed with this place ! there was no wifi, old TV's old 19 inch TV's no flat screens, hardly any channels to watch on cable, the furniture was terrible and very uncomfortable, it was very outdated, the carpet looked awful, the pool was not clean, the air was out in the check in area so we could not even sit in there because it was so hot, the patio was dirty and the frame around the door was broken, the blind in the bedroom was broken, I am sure I am leaving something out this place overall was awful!! this was a overall bad experience and I would not suggest anyone stay here until some major upgrades are done!!
