Best stay, Smell Good and clean

This place was a decent low end hotel just for a quick trip. Property was just ok but the events surrounding the state tell the tale. We checked in and then the next morning, desk clerk Mark said Expedia hadn't paid them for the room? I don't know the inner workings of payment just know I have used Expedia for a long long time and never heard of this. I told him we had a big day and would help them get this squared away before we departed the next day. During the day they called me no less than 5 times telling me I had to pay for the night that I had already paid for and I would have to deal with Expedia? The events after this were unbelievable. I told Mark I would not pay for the room twice and he said I would have to leave. When we got back to the hotel they had taken access to our room away by removing our key access and all of our belongings were in the room? I had already paid for the room through Expedia by the way. They did get payment finally from Expedia and granted access to our room and belongings but not before they ruined our entire stay and day. The next morning Mark approached me and tried to explain but I would have none of it. I told him that he was terrible at his job and the entire team from top to bottom was horrible. He told me the owner was ok the day before with how he was handling this as well. I was willing to overlook small issues because the hotel is what it is for the money but after this experience I will not. Had a small mold spore in AC unit. Cob webs on the lamps. Dust on vent fan in the bathroom and one of the worst tub showers I have ever seen. No way would I ever stay here again even if it was free. DO NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY!

Very nice front desk, staff, room had some issues, continental breakfast pretty sparse. Check in went smoothly, there is no elevator so rooms on the second floor. You have to climb the stairs with your luggage. The air conditioning worked extremely well. I had to turn it down because the room was so cold when I checked in. The room was clean and comfortable. It is clear they are remodeling things in the rooms and the decor was quite unusual. When I pulled back, the bed covers in there were stains on the bedsheet, but I believe they were old and the sheet was basically clean. I did sleep on the other side of the bed though. The smoke alarm was broken and sitting on a shelf. Some of the towels were bright white some were more dingy. Location was great, but there are plenty of hotels nearby. I would choose next time.
