This was a nice and quiet hotel. Got a very large room in the back that was good in the heat. Small balcony and sit on. Nice service and great outdoor area

This hotel was recommended to us by someone that works there. My son and I took up the chance to check it out. We had a very pleasant experience overall. Rooms and grounds were clean, temperature of the room was just right walking in. The beds were comfortable which is always the make or break of any hotel. Pool area was roomy although I didn't get in. In the morning, I saw that the grounds were quite nice. They clearly pay attention to a lot of little things here. It has a nice charm to it. The back entrance is very helpful for those us in lower riding cars so good to check that out on the map. And how refreshing it is to see the Word of God shared in the room and general area! Definitely noted. There was two minor things I would share could be nicer. 1) the bath floor. Tile was fine just very dated. I think changing that alone would remove some of the dated feel as the rest really felt more like a mountain inn vs a dated inn. 2) Need lights or something by the main entrance driveway. I drove right past it at night because it was behind a tall tree that you can barely see at night coming from the north. Not a big deal as I turned around and found it but some lights by that entrance would be very inexpensive markers to make it very clear with the main sign away from the street. Lastly, the ladies at the front desk were very kind. Pleasant vibe here that is in character with the location. And a welcome change from the chain hotels that while nice can be somewhat 'meh'. Charm and character appreciated.

For an older resort this lodge is impeccably maintained. I have never seen such pristine grounds or clean rooms. Just be careful when booking. We wanted a room with a balcony so we could enjoy the mountain views but our balcony did not have that. The website was not very clear, or perhaps I misunderstood. Also, if you are looking for a good breakfast, this would not be the place. A bit of bread/bagels for toast, some sweet rolls and some cereal. Location is fantastic and there are plenty of restaurants to eat breakfast but don't expect much from this lodge. It was very quiet and the grounds were beautiful.
