Homewood Suites Austin Aboretum - NW

Excellent hotel, clean and with a very good location. Surrounded by trees and green areas. The only thing I don't like is the breakfast, which is very poor, however it is understandable given the cost of the room.

Sub par … the two day stay meant I would not get my room cleaned during my stay… because of this when I returned to my room after the first night I didn’t have any toilet paper… when I called down to request toilet paper they said they didn’t have staff to bring it up. For the amount of money they are charging they only have one person on staff at night … When I checked out and was asked about my stay I said this kind of service is not acceptable. Blank stares and smirks … no apologies. Wow service in America is absolutely DIY … what a shame, I definitely did not feel like a valued customer.

We had booked two rooms for our stay in Austin. While the rooms were clean and the beds were satisfying after a long day of travel. The customer service ruined the trip. We had booked three nights with the hotel. Two nights at the beginning of our trip and one night back in Austin after visiting family for a celebration of life in Brenham. After our first two nights we were checking out and brought up a complaint about how we requested but never received any new toilet paper to our rooms and had to purchase some for ourselves. The women at the front desk did nothing to address our concerns. Just standing there blankly smiling. While leaving the hotel my father who uses a cane due to his bad hip injured himself because the door shut on him; literally hitting him on our way out. Our frustrations were not met with understanding or accommodation, but instead our reservation for our last night at the hotel was canceled without warning! Causing us to leave the hotel bewildered and hurt. We found another hotel to stay at luckily but we will never return to Homewood suites by Hilton in Austin ever again and will tell our friends and family to keep their distance so they might avoid this unpleasant experience.
