DOUBLETREE BY HILTON DALLAS -

I took my family to Dallas as my son was moving into his dorm room at SMU. This property was 5 minutes away so we made the reservation. As a Lifetime Hilton Diamond Member I can say unequivocally that this is the worse Hilton property in my 40+ years of traveling. Think, circa late 1970’s Motel 6 complete with torn shower curtain, moldy smells and dark as a dungeon. I should have know that I was in for a poor experience as we drove in and the front of the hotel was under construction and we needed to take our roller bags on a tour of the a plywood entrance. The service was abominable, the room a disgrace and the restaurant laughable. Hilton should be ashamed to have its name associated with this property. Do your selves a favor and stay anywhere in the Dallas area but here.

Mold in the vent with water moisture damage to the wall and you can see the water just sitting there. I only came here because of the rating on here and Expedia They didn’t even care what I was saying about the mold. We were breathing that crap. I asked for someone to call and still nothing .

They charged me for a double stay and could not help me, as the previous payment had been made through HSBC. The entrance is under construction, there is a terrible noise, the rooms are old and have regular maintenance. The people at the counters are rude. I do not recommend it!!
