Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites Plano East

So this property is going through some renovations or were at least when we were there June 27th through the 30th for a 4 night stay. I have not had the greatest experience at either Comfort properties in Plano. I understand that they are making improvements but the hotel needs some better attention to detail. The pool was fairly nice but the workers who were implementing the renovations kept smoking in the back entrance and it kept filtering through the inside of the breakfast area. Breakfast could be stocked more efficiently and frequently plus better attention to cleanliness. The worst part is the bathroom. Specifically the shower. The type of bathtub they have in at least the room we were in is dangerous. As soon as I stepped in I slipped and fell out of the shower and injured my head. The front desk clerk only gave a half hearted apology and never offers to do anything for my injury. We went and purchased our own non slip bath mats for the remainder of the stay.

Rude staff and dirty rooms. Go to super 8 by Wyndham instead

I booked two nights (with no cancellation which I knew and was aware of the consequences). Had a family emergency the first and called to say I wouldn't be there the first but would be the second. Then when I showed for the second they had sold my room claiming I was a no-show and still charged me for both nights. For a week they've given me the run-around and played the name-game.
