Comfort Inn Decatur

You get what you pay for -and thats a very true statement. Website pictures are VERY outdated. Not sure how this has four stars 🤔. Room smelled- wall's dirty- cigarette burns all over bedding. Door security lever was hold on with baling wire, door was not sealed, light was obvious at the bottom and sides. New can lights have been added in the ceiling- no lamp. Mattress was worn out and needs to be thrown out, pillows were a joke. Ice machine was broke and obviously been broke for a long time Overall a MESS . Parking lot was almost full - where are they spending the money .... NOT on the facility!!???????

The pool isn’t open to guest and the WiFi and TVs do not keep signal it bounces off and on we had to get our key recoded on the second day wouldn’t have my kids outside there but For the price we payed I didn’t expect much they do have refrigerators and microwaves and ice machine if your going out to the dirt bike track it’s perfect to roll your bikes into the room.

I am a bargain shopper and we needed a room for one night to attend a funeral so I booked a room online. The Econo Lodge in Decatur needs some serious remodeling/upkeep on the outside. The doors have paint stripping off, the general outside of the lodge looks run down and in disrepair. The inside is a bit better, but the furniture is quite old and thread bare. The bathroom itself is in decent shape, but outside the bathroom where the sink area is, is very crowded and small. Obviously they cannot enlarge the area but a remodel would be beneficial. The room was drab at best. In their favor, the bed linens and towels were clean, the bed was comfortable and the room was acceptable for the price. There was a microwave, ironing board/iron, TV and coffee pot. For the amount we spent on the room, approx. $40, it was a decent room. Definately not fancy or extremely comfortable but decent.
