Best Western Hondo Inn

Accommodations are limited in this area, so we booked what was there. This place needs an update! Carpets are frayed, decor needs a serious update. There are no local channels on the tv. We had to use our streaming platform in order to watch anything. The only positive thing I can say is that we had a washer and dryer in our floor, $2 to wash and same to dry.

The hotel could use some updates but it is the best place to stay in Hondo by leaps and bounds. The room was not as impeccably furnished/clean as I prefer but given the other options in Hondo, it was acceptable. The upholstered chair was ripped open on the seat and it was covered in a stain of some unknown substance. I didn't need to sit in it so I avoided it. Other than that, the bed was comfortable but not like home. The sweet lady at the front desk, Petra, was outstanding. She was friendly, bright and enjoyable to speak to. She was extremely polite and considerate and seemed to genuinely care about the guests, which I appreciated most of all.

The hotel was clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable . The breakfast was good with all the normal stuff, eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, hash browns. They also had waffles, cold cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, juices, coffee, tea and breakfast bars. Price was reasonable. Overall a good place to stay.
