Comfort Suites (Deer Park)

Hotel is what was expected for a 2–3-star room. The property seemed clean, the room appeared clean and check in was easy. I always check the bed and bedding before opening my suitcase. No signs of bed-bugs and did not see any roaches. The room did have some minor maintenance issues, mostly being outdated and in need of refurbishment, but for the price it worked for me. The location was also perfect for my trip. I would stay here again just don't expect more than what it is.

I am writing this review to save you from making the same mistake as I did. I came for a DPHS class reunion. The group originally booked at the Hampton Inn across the street. They were going through a renovation so we decided to transfer to Comfort Suites. One classmate stayed at Hampton Inn and I went to their pool. What a difference. The whole hotel!! Upon walking into my room the odor of disinfectant was so strong it was nauseous. The exterior back door entrance never worked with my room key. The exterior side door entrance was always unlocked. Which is a hotel security FAILURE! The whole purpose for these locked doors is to force non guests to go by the Front Desk. My room key worked only some of the time. It had to be rekeyed numerous times during our stay. Again, rethink your stay here until they do a complete renovation!! I honestly can’t even give this place one star but it wouldn’t let me submit my review without selecting something.

There was gum stuck to the wall beside the night stand!!! The rooms smell like mildew!!! The toilet seats are stained a weird yellowish color, and the WiFi is absolutely horrible!!!! Sheets are all stained and the a/c hardly works!!!!!
