SCOTTISH INNS SUITES SAM HOUS

I had an unexpected very late night, flight cancellation and all hotels in the area were booked. This was the only room I could find, and the staff were very friendly on the phone. When I arrived and went into my room the strong stench of cigarettes immediately hit me. There was unknown brown splatter on the walls in lots of random places and the carpet was stained . All I needed was a clean bed so I pulled down the sheets and roaches ran across the bed and under the mattress . When I moved the mattress, there was a lot trash under the frame and more roaches came running out . The same thing happened with the second bed. I am not a bug expert but I think they were roaches. There were also no bed bug covers on the mattress's. By this time, it was so late that all I could do was sit in the room with the light on watching the bugs crawl in and out from around the bed frame, in and out of the covers, and bedside table wishing it was daylight so I could go back to the airport to sit. The toilet seat was not attached and was resting on top of the lid and I felt uncomfortable touching it with my hands to move it . I had asked for a 9 am shuttle before I knew the condition of the room . Once I couldn’t take it anymore I asked the man at the front desk to get an earlier shuttle for me , and he did . He was very friendly. I told him there were bugs and he said ok .

I stayed there for over a month. The house keeper only came once a week instead of every day. When the toilet got clogged, the told me to go buy a plunger! Everyday they get harassing me to extend! And also get trying to raise my daily rate! In addition ac does not work!

this place is very nice. we got the jacuzzi room for myself and my wife for our anniversary and we loved it. i asked if they could play flower peddles on the bed and in the tub and they did for no additional charge but still tipped the front desk guy for it. after that first time we went 2 times in the past year. its clean and the beds are good.
