Best Western Inn Of Kilgore

The “continental breakfast” consisted of stale bread, rock hard biscuits, undercooked bacon and over cooked sausage. Our door keys had to be reset every night for some reason. Our door lock broke and the front desk handed us a screwdriver and told us to take the lock off of our door (wasn’t even the right type of screw driver). The pool was very dirty. The a/c barely worked.

It was not made clear that this hotel was actually more like a motel with the doors of the room on the outside. The area is sketchy and not an ideal stay for a family. We specifically didn’t book at the motel 6 that was closer to our destination because we thought staying at the best western would be nicer and feel more safe. But in reality it was probably equivalent to the motel 6 and we had to add a 30 min drive To and from our destination. We won’t stay here again when visiting Henderson/Kilgore.

Rooms smelly musty, air conditioning barely cools, bed hard as a rock and makes noise with every move, sheets don’t smell clean. Absolutely ridiculous what they charge for these rooms. Should be $40 at best.
