Homewood Suites Laredo At Mall Del Norte

I would have liked to give a good rating, but unfortunately I can not, on Sunday we arrived at the hotel and the first thing that failed the bathroom, we reported it and said that they would go to check, we returned in the night and it was still the same, I spoke to reception and I had to insist many times to change my room finally they did, they gave us another and there were cockroaches. It makes me think they don't have staff to handle the proper maintenance of the place. At breakfast the lady in charge of cooking on the cell phone all the time and the cold things, the very friendly lady reception went to heat the tortillas, what I go to is that only one person can not do everything. The garbage cans full and so on in full view as we ate watching the boats overflow. Very bad experience, I do not recommend it and it is not a cheap place. So consider it.

I stayed multiple weeks at this particular property on business. 2 out 3 rooms I stayed in had no hot water. Warm water yes, hot water….no. On my first visit I refused a room due to an overwhelming stench of what smelled like sewage. On more than a few occasions I would have to stand at the front desk for over 10-15 minutes waiting for the desk staff to emerge from the back. On my last night I found multiple live cockroaches in the room. Thankfully, it was my last evening! Had I read the previous reviews about other guests seeing them, I would have never booked at this location. It’s obvious after my experience and reading the experiences of other guests, management doesn’t take pest control or cleanliness serious. Spend the extra $20-$30 and stay next door at Embassy Suites.

I killed two ants and a roach in my bathroom sink. I opened my dishwasher and another roach ran away before I could kill it. No paper towels in the kitchen, no dishwashing liquid in the kitchen, no ice machine in the freezer and the ice machine on the floor didn't work. That really didn't matter anyway since there was no ice bucket in the room. Certainly not what I would expect from a Hilton property, and I won't stay there again and will recommend to all my colleagues to stay as far away from there as possible. Plenty of other hotels in the area.
