We couldn’t wait to leave. Room felt dank and clammy, especially in bathroom. Towels were thin and dingy gray. A/C was loud and rattled all night. Platform for bed was made of sheet metal and made drum-like sound whenever one of us got off the bed. Breakfast was coffee, juices, cereal, omelets and sausage patties, along with muffins and toast. I ate around 6:30-6:45 or so and was initially the only person in the small dining room. Omelet and sausage chafing dish was completely full. Unfortunately, all of the food in it was literally cold (not warmed in any way). Apparently, whoever was responsible for setting out the breakfast simply forgot to heat the food. No big loss. Unaware that the food was cold, I took a bite of the omelet. It looked fine but had a weird gritty texture. Trash strewn, pot-holed and oily parking lot completed our stay. Plus was location and that Burger King and Waffle House are adjacent to this place. With remodeling and better management, this hotel might be a decent place to stay.

The stay was absolutely awful. From the time of arrival to leaving early because of how bad it was it was all around the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Checking in the staff / lack there of was extremely rude and cold. The maintenance guy was clearly on something and was hitting our car while “leaf blowing”. In the actual hotel room it was extremely humid and the walls were wet. The AC unit was blowing dust and filled with mold. The shower and grout was mold infested. We had multiple towels and sheets stained with who knows what as well as blood on the curtains. When we requested new towels and sheets we were told there were none and they would get us some, we then watched a lady walk with towels and sheets to the outdoor washer that looked like it hadn’t been washed itself since the 80’s. They were completely stained by bleach but the worst of the whole sheet thing was the cigarette burns and chards of it found inside the bedding even though the room was non smoking!! The whole family was unable to sleep due to respiratory issues caused by mold dust and uncleanliness. One member of our family stated that their chest pain got so bad in the middle of the night that they got up to see if everyone was still breathing because she thought their may have been a carbon monoxide leak. We all woke up early unable to sleep hoping for redemption of the room at breakfast. The communal room smelt so horrible like nothing I’ve ever smelt before. The complimentary breakfast was not that. It was old breakfast sandwiches and looked like stuff the owner pulled from his families fridge. The owners kids were running around as the hotel is where they live although the staff was nowhere to be found. Going over to check the pool out we found a green pool filled with gunk and power lines that dipped down into the pool. It was absolutely not safe or up to code. Around the hotel their were multiple piles of trash swarmed in bugs. The stairs and ground was eroding and awful to walk down. Their were many rooms where people lived in and had lawn chairs and beach chairs outside their room. They stumbled out smoking and in inappropriate clothes. This hotel genuinely is inoperable and should not be $120 a night let alone even available to the public !

Gross hotel. Owner/operator is inconsiderate and has no regard for his guest. I especially did not appreciate his Indian music being blared in the front desk area where the guest can sit and have a cup of coffee. Furthermore, the rooms were dank and gross. The bathroom was disgusting in that the shower curtain was full of soap scum and the shower itself was dirty. I really enjoyed the broken toilet seat...not! I will never ever step foot in this hotel, and I will be sure to tell anyone going to Covington, LA, to steer clear of this dumpy hotel!
