My spouse and I stayed here one night on our way to a concert in El Paso.
We checked in online using the Hilton Honors app and selected a room on the 1st floor.
We drove in from Dallas and got to the hotel just after 11pm.
The front desk guy gave us our room keys (there is no digital key option for this hotel) but placed us on the 3rd floor, next to the ice machine.
My Hilton Honors profile didn't mean much. When asked about the room change, the clerk told us he just got there and shrugged off our complaint.
We went to the room. I got ice and returned to find every glass in the kitchen was gross. Nothing had been washed.
So we used the paper cups provided for coffee.
We tried to take showers but no body wash was provided.
I stay at a lot of Hampton Inn & Suites every year for work. This hotel had small tvs. Even in the lobby area where you eat.
We went to bed.
The next morning after a trip to the store, we took showers, packed and had breakfast before check out. Unlike other Hampton Inn & Suites in Texas, this property does not offer the breakfast taco option. Their eggs were clearly the powder kind with some clumps and some runny.
The waffle maker produced the thinnest waffle I've ever had. And it didn't taste good.
The elevator 3rd floor button does not work. We (and other guests) stood in the elevator for many minutes with the door closed, not moving because the button did not register that we needed to go up.
We had called the front desk early in the day to add my Hilton Honors number to the reservation. That went well.
Beyond all of this, I would only say, the carpet in the halls and lobby is so green...like KELLY GREEN. I don't understand why. It's terrible to look at.
