AMELIAS LANDING HOTEL

I was happy to find a place that would accommodate our dog on a last minute trip with our spring break aged boys! Bonus that they are all into airplanes! The owner was very helpful and it is walking distance to everything. The beds are super comfortable. We stayed in the Women in Aviation and the Flying Tigers room.

After years of taking our kids here when they were young and had a lovely personalized experience, we wanted to try again just me and my husband. Very disappointed! Check in service was poor hospitality, poor lighting at night, very unwelcoming, splintered walkway and old doors with poor locks. When we entered the room we saw dirty towels in the bathroom and shower. Yuk. Blow dryer does not work. Very loud air unit. Beds were comfortable, but very soft if you like that. We expected more for over $200 a night. Not coming back. Sad.

This is a little beach motel on the island. I don’t expect the room to be perfect but it is not very comfortable. The mattress sags, the pillows are very flat and the towels were very low quality. One of them had a giant hole in it. The rooms are in need of updates as well and the floors are dirty. They do not have daily housekeeping. They do have a small pool which was very clean and refreshing after being at the beach all day. The location is fantastic, you can walk to many things and the beach is a short drive away. This is a budget motel, and probably half the price of other hotels. It may be a good value if all you need is a place to stay.
