This location had a pipe burst right before our stay and at check in, we were put on the 4th floor , where the leak occured, I'm still not sure why. It smelled like mildew or mold. We asked to be moved to the 3rd floor but there was no air in the hallway so they had really loud fans on all night and day. The room door was hard to close all the way and the lock was very hard to use. You had to jiggle and push to get it closed and locked. We could also hear people walking around in the room on top of ours, which I'm not used to anymore. The positives were the location, minutes from the riverwalk and the breakfast inclusion. They also had afternoon coffee, cookies and cucumber water which we felt was a nice touch. The staff was friendly and tried to be accommodating. It wasn't 5 star but it wasn't all bad either.

This Fairfield Inn in San Antonio was my favorite Fairfield Inn of all the ones I have visited over the years. They had complementary bottled water at the desk for the taking. Free shuttle service to the River Walk was readily available. The complementary breakfast was great. This hotel is very close to the Market Square area and the River Walk yet parking was free. I will always stay here when in San Antonio.

Friendly welcome. Modern hotel close to the center (walking or with shuttle). Nice decor and fairly complete breakfast. Spacious room (sitting area and 2 tv) with all comforts. Excellent bedding. Efficient air conditioning and not too noisy.
