Quality Suites San Antonio

After reviewing our statements following a cross-country trip, I discovered that this hotel had slapped us with an unauthorized smoking fee. When I called to dispute it, I was told that "someone had smoked in our room"—which is entirely false, especially given that my wife is pregnant. When I brought this up with the representative, Norma, she stated I would have to take it up with the manager. However, when I asked to speak with that manager (Margarita), I was informed she wouldn't be available until Thursday, with no other supervisors in the building. Most concerningly, when I asked why we were never notified of the charge via phone or email, Norma casually explained that if they suspect smoking, they simply process the charge without notifying the guest first. It feels like a shady practice designed to slip extra charges past customers unnoticed. To make matters worse, the hotel itself is subpar in terms of cleanliness, and we frequently noticed people smoking marijuana in the parking lot at all hours of the night. Given the poor conditions and questionable billing practices, I would strongly recommend avoiding this location and other Fairfield properties.

I went to San Antonio for a concert at the Alamodome on July 24. When looking for options to get to the concert, I saw that they had the Park and Ride option that left from the Walmart that is across from the hotel and that is why I decided to rent here. It was a great decision. Although the time I stayed was only one night, the room, the cleanliness, the breakfast, the gym and everything I checked looks very new, very clean and of good quality. The person who assisted us at the front desk (I did not have the foresight to take their name) made us feel very welcome. Anyway, on my next visit to San Antonio, I will stay at this hotel again.

I’ve stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites a few times while visiting family, and this last stay was by far the best one yet! The new girl at the front desk—her name was Candace, I believe—was so welcoming and genuinely helpful. For the first time, someone from the front desk actually brought what I needed up to my room instead of asking me to come down for it, which I really appreciated. In the past, I was always told to come get my own towels or pillows, but Candace went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable. She was also super patient with all my questions about the area and seemed very confident in her job. Kudos to management for hiring her—she’s a great addition to your team! I think you’ve found a good one.
