RESIDENCE INN SAN ANTONIO NORTH/STONE OAK

We came to San Antonio from Houston to visit six flags, stayed at this hotel. We stayed in a jack and Jill room because of the kids and it was really nice and neat. The staff were nice and friendly. We were well taken care of. My kids loved the break fast, and especially the waffles. I would like to say a big thank you to the lovely lady that made breakfast for the hotel. My kids couldn’t have enough of it. Her name is Margie. She is such a sweet lady she made my kids feel right at home. Thank you Margie I look forward to having her breakfast again. She’s a good asset to your establishment and I would like to recommend her for a raise pls. We would be coming back again to visit a different part of San Antonio and would definitely be staying in your establishment to enjoy Margie’s breakfast again. I would also like to say a big thank you for the hospitality we received while staying with you.

This property is actually in the Stone Oak area, but has some serious issues. There was a 2 am fire alarm this morning, three vehicles in the parking lot were vandalized, and the elevators have been down all week. The serious part is actually this; multiple vehicles have been vandalized for three straight days this week with the same damage (windshields & side glass shattered), but the hotel staff failed to notify any of us guests of any of these occurrences as they were more concerned with the issues it could create if they did vs looking out for their guests. When I reached out to front desk staff this morning regarding the incidents of the morning, they claimed to know nothing of it, which means staff aren’t communicating with each other much less with guests. Guests we spoke to in the lobby today stated that the hotel refused to cancel & refund the rest of their remaining reservation despite being victims of vandalism this week, so they departed & abandoned their reservations…ZERO empathy for guests & more self preservation behavior than looking out for guests. As for the elevators, people had to use the stairs, but I don’t think the hotel wasn’t too concerned for their ADA guests as they gambled there wouldn’t be more of those types of rooms needed than first floor rooms available. Furthermore, it doesn’t seem that they were too concerned with adding a layer of security for the parking lot as there didn’t seem to be increased security. This property really needs to have a come to Jesus and put together a plan to address future issues and to ensure that their guests and their safety are their top concern moving forward. I do want to note that the cleaning crew are wonderful people! LOOK AT PREVIOUS REVIEWS, THERE IS SERIAL VANDALISM OCCURRING HERE! STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK.

The room was average. The location was ideal but four pickup trucks were broken into overnight including ours. I would not stay here again unless security is beefed up or surveillance cameras are installed. We had broken glass all over everything and had to duct tape a covering over the broken window to continue traveling.
