Clean hotel. Friendly staff! Great location. Rooms were comfortable. Luis was amazing with our valet service.

My husband was here on business so I tagged along. We stayed in room 1613. Our original reservation was upgraded to a “balcony” which as Bonvoy members we truly loved. However, we were right across from the 4 elevators and we could hear some type of banging above us all night long. I assume it was cables related. Not a big deal. The bed is super comfortable and after a while we faded off to a deep and amazing sleep. The balcony is only big enough to stand on. No big deal it’s too hot to be out for long but we overlooked the city and a part of the riverwalk. So far a 5 out of 5. The reason for the 4 are the amenities. Could even be a 3. First the pool. It was a no go. It’s super small. Maybe 4 feet wide by 10 feet long jammed up against a wall on the 3rd floor. Very little space to sit. The chairs were dirty. There are no pool towels. It’s very dated and I felt uncomfortable. The gym area shares windows with the poolside. I didn’t like that I could see them. Frosting the windows would be a nice upgrade. The pool is a 2 out of 5. The Bistro is a 3. Not a lot on the menu and very pricey. Also the hours are terrible. Open from 6:30 am to 10:30 on weekdays. Closed all afternoon until 5 pm. We had to find somewhere for lunch that was within walking distance due to my husband’s conference schedule. There are many places to eat around us but time was a factor. We were hoping to eat at the bistro. There is free water in the lobby. No coffee or tea throughout the day. Bring your own drink container they only have tiny cups for water. The room is small. Ours was big enough for two people only (king bed). There are a lot of outlets for chargers. There is no space for suitcases except for the half couch. The room was very clean and also the bathroom and the shower was great. I hope this review suits anyone traveling to stay here. For a quick overnight stay it’s a fine place but if you’re bringing a family or staying more than a couple nights this may not be the hotel for you. We love San Antonio so it was a nice getaway. We are from the Austin area.
