Valencia Riverwalk

Everything about this property has been amazing. From the food to the customer service. The young lady, Jam in the Caffe was the BEST, a true ASSET to the Hotel. She should be recognized as a STAR! Also, Denise from Room Service, another 5 star employees! Overall great experience from entire Staff!

The hotel itself was very nice, clean, and comfortable, and we genuinely enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately, the unexpected fees at checkout left a very negative impression. We were charged a $22 per day destination fee that was never made clear to us before or during check-in. In addition, we paid $70 per day for valet parking. Before handing over our keys, we specifically asked about parking since we were hotel guests, and we were told valet was included for guests. Based on that information, we used the valet service. When I called after noticing the charges, I explained what we had been told. Instead of acknowledging the possibility of a miscommunication, I was told their staff is trained to explain the valet fees and that the charges would stand. Unfortunately, that was not our experience, and they refused to make it right. The hotel itself deserves praise, but I would strongly encourage future guests to ask for every fee in writing before checking in or using any hotel services. Between the daily destination fee and valet charges, our bill increased by hundreds of dollars in unexpected costs. Transparency goes a long way, and I hope the hotel improves how these fees are communicated to guests.
