Great place for the price, clean, good breakfast, close to downtown. Over all a nice place to spend a night or two with out breaking the budget!

The hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating. The room has a wet (moldy) smell to it when you enter. This is my 2nd stay in this hotel so I would think it’s not just one room. The pillows are small and very lumpy feeling. They were O.K. , but I’ve definitely had better pillows at other hotels. There was a VERY thin blanket with a sheet on the bed that did not keep me warm in the room. I purchased a blanket at Walmart during my stay. The t.v. worked well, hotel was clean, and pool appeared small , but inviting. **The highlight of the stay was the hot breakfast. It was very good. There was a choice of the following: waffles, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, yogurt, bagels, muffins, coffee, cereal, orange juice and some other things. There was another issue that was not necessarily the problem of the hotel, but there was not enough parking due to a busy Texas State weekend. The concierge did find me an alternate spot to park by a curb on property. Overall, our stay was pretty good, but some things could be improved.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location is convenient for visiting TXST. Those are the only positives. The hotel rooms are in disrepair. Our 1st room was missing a hairdryer and had visibly furniture damage from water. Everything in the room felt damp the whole time. It had a strong musty/ mildew smell. We ended up moving rooms due to a window leaking. The staff was very responsive and helpful. But the new room had the same water damage and mildew smell. We will not stay there again.
