HAMPTON INN HOUSTON-TEXAS CITY

Do not stay here. Elevator out of order, we were on the 2nd floor. Thankfully we one had one piece of luggage a piece!!! Room smelled of mold, I sprayed with room spray, did not help. Beds are hard. Would have stayed somewhere else but hotels around in the area were booked to capacity due to the Galveston motorcycle rally. Pictures on their website are not rooms at this hotel.

This place is a DUMP & should only be rented by the hour. Dirty is a nice word for the condition. Wall paper peeling off, mold smell, musty odors, elevator greasy, smoke alarm had baggie over it so someone could smoke, carpet dirty, tub dirty, everything was NASTY!! DON’T EVER STAY THERE!!!!!

My husband and I arrived here after many days of camping and hiking in Big Bend National Park. We needed someplace to clean up, and this spot in Alpine was perfect. It was very clean and accomodating. Everything was spotless, the staff was helpful, and it was quiet. The next morning, their included hot breakfast was quite impressive: make-your-own tostada with tortillas, scrambled eggs, roasted potatoes, veggies, salsa, shredded cheese, etc. – very good! I would definitely stay here if I ever pass through Alpine, TX again.
