Motel 6 Van Horn

Our room was quite small, but had sufficient space for two of us. Everything was clean, the A/C worked great and both of us slept very well. Bring your own toiletries and you'll be fine. Caveats for future travelers: 1. Although we were given a WiFi password, we couldn't get any one of our four devices to connect to the WiFi. This might be a problem for someone who planned to work. 2. There are no electrical outlets close to the work table. Again, work might be a problem. 3. The motel is just across the street from train tracks. Trains went by numerous times during the time we were there, and they're very loud. They sound a bit like a jet on a runway. We had our sound machine cranked up while we slept, so the trains didn't bother us, but they might bother others. Plusses: 1. The office clerk Raul was very kind, friendly and efficient. 2. Beds were fine. 3. You can't beat the price.

Old dated but inexpensive motel. Rooms do have damages here and there and could also be cleaner. Worst of all it's very noisy from the parking and the main street very nearby. The noise comes through all the very wide cracks around the door and windows.

Great little hotel slightly off the beaten path. David, who checked us in, was professional, friendly and a great source of information. Our room was scrupulously clean and well taken care of. The beds were comfortable and even though we were on the interstate side, noise was not an issue. Coffee is available about 5:30 am or so.
