The holiday inn express in Zapata costs much more and has a new objectionable policy of charging $30 extra for early check in, so stay here. Basic accommodations. Not much breakfast but you can use the $70 you saved to buy breakfast at McDonalds. Have had mixed experiences here on past stays but this was a 5-star stay. Great help from desk clerk.

The staff was extremely helpful and kind. Our room only had hot boiling water to use so we had to switch rooms. Our second room was upgraded but the air conditioner was leaking water inside. Soaking the entire carpet area underneath. Can’t imagine the mold growing under there. There was also a cat stuck in the vents above our door so would occasionally hear a cat meowing above us.

My stay was for holidays. The rooms were clean and staff was friendly. Great price for room. Was in town visiting family and the location provided easy access to visit them. Breakfast and coffee are available at the lounge by the front desk.
