We were in the Sunrise Motel building. The proximity of the lodge to the rim is the best part as the room was adequate, nothing special really. Microwave & fridge, nice bathroom. The wifi signal was seldom available from there and required a walk up to the main Lodge to capture. For the high price of these rooms, a repeater or booster could easily be installed so as not to inconvenience the guests. There were horrible FAT pillows that prevented comfort but housekeeping thankfully had a more normal one for me (after the 1st night of hardly sleeping at all.) This is a “dark sky” park however the lodge has bright lights on all night which shone into our room. So to enjoy the star show, we had to get up, get dressed, and walk to a darker area to see them at all.

Staying at the Bryce Canyon Lodge was a special experience, especially because of its unparalleled location. The ability to walk to the edge of Bryce Canyon to admire the sunset and then return at sunrise, immersed in nature and silence, is priceless. This alone makes choosing to stay here worth it.
The hotel is historic and a bit dated, but it is perfectly in line with the park's style. Our room was cozy, with a lovely little balcony overlooking the woods that made the atmosphere relaxing.
There is no air conditioning, but we didn't miss it: thanks to the double window, with the outer one equipped with a screen, we were able to leave it open during the night and sleep very well!
Breakfast is good and varied, with a wide choice of products, and all the staff proved to be extremely friendly and helpful.
For dinner, we chose pizza from the restaurant adjacent to the lodge. Obviously, you shouldn't expect a real Italian pizza, but we liked it.
If you want to experience the Canyon without having to take the car for sunrise and sunset, the Bryce Canyon Lodge is undoubtedly the best choice!

Pro: So like many will tell you the location is ideal. Literally from our room a 5 minute walk to sunrise/sunset point. It takes the driving in and parking out of the equation. Food was good but ID to be shown and 2 drink max huh 🤷♂️
Con: The room and back porch was dusty with a non supportive bed. Dead bolt torn off and hadn’t been replaced. No AC not even a window unit.
Had a beat up fan in the closet. huh 🤷♂️
Outside entrance had no security scan to enter.
DO NOT be fooled by the pics.
For $370 per night they could/should have this place updated.
3 ⭐️ only because of location.
