Days Inn Parowan

Staff was very helpful getting our booking straightened out when I had mistakenly booked the wrong date. Although not listed on the ad, the room had a coffee maker, fridge, and microwave. Perfect. Although the parking lot was full, the room was quiet and peaceful. We did not try the restaurant.

This is a very cute Motel. Clean (very important), and the restaurant is great. When I checked in I was very impressed. The price was also right for a night. The hotel desk closes over night. For the people sleeping in 212 on April 23rd, you kept us awake most of the night. Stomping around, showering in the middle of the night until 5:30. No one to complain to. I was trying to sleep so I didn’t go knock on your door. My bad, but it was bad. No phones in the room. It is a very basic place. No frills. Good if you are camping overnight. I probably don’t ever need to go back here.

I'm not sure what happened but I use to love this hotel. All my friends and I have booked here for over 10 years. The cleanliness and friendliness of the hotel has gone down a bunch since I stayed here two years ago and multiple times prior to that. The rooms were definitely NOT vacuumed (Lots of hair, hair tie and lots of thistle weeds in the carpet), the counters looked like they had been kind-of wiped off, the conditioner dispenser in the bathtub was completely broken off and the body soap dispenser was literally hanging off the edge and broke off the second we tried to fix it. No hair dyer and even after we requested on the next morning, it was never provided. No ice machine and the coffee (that we had to request) was like water with a sprinkle of coffee. The hot tub was yucky and had cigarette butts in the window sills inside. Hotel was rather empty but they piled everyone on top of each other so we ended up with a herd of elephants above us (not really hotels fault but maybe place people in caddy corner units if not full). They had a guy that obviously lived there in one of the units, that liked to smoke next to his van... right in front of our A/C and filled our room with smoke smell. The super yummy Chinese restaurant that use to be there is gone. The menu for the new cafe looked pretty good, but I can't testify for the food because we did not eat there. Sadly I will be looking for other accommodations in the future.
