HILTON GARDEN INN SANDY/SALT L

The 4 is only because they advertise breakfast and they did not have it the day we were there. Not a big deal, but if you planned on it… evening clerk was excellent, very helpful. Clean, comfortable hotel in a convenient location.

This hotel is conveniently located in Sandy not far from the Little and Big Cottonwood Canyon Roads, a rapid trip to multiple ski resorts. The rooms are relatively spacious and comfortable with a Keurig coffee maker, small refrigerator, and large TV. Some of the rooms are on the side of the hotel near the highway so they can be noisy, even late at night. There is a small swimming pool and an exercise room. Breakfast is not included but there are reasonably priced options for the first meal of the day. Service was very friendly. There is plenty of free parking in front and to the side of the hotel.

Front desk, breakfast staff, and cleanliness is wonderful at the Sandy Hilton. But if you plan on getting a good night's rest it's not the best. Our bed was hard as a rock and very uncomfortable, the traffic noise was constant all night long, the fridge was quite loud if left plugged in (we had to unplug it which meant it was not able to be used) and could hear the TV in the next room on most of the night. Needless to say, there was not one night while staying here that one could get a good night's rest. It's such a shame as the rest of the hotel is lovely and filled with helpful staff. The breakfast is very good, and they even provide other meals which is uncommon to most hotel chains. Close to nearly everything you might want to do...shopping, entertainment, and easy access to the freeway (the loud traffic noise all.night.long) . Would not recommend to anyone traveling on business as the above would impact your ability to be well-rested.
