Bryce Canyon Resort

Just acceptable. Site needs refreshing. Cannot be classified as a resort. Old motel and poorly maintained. However, the room is large and the bed is comfortable. Bathroom renovated but with poorly done finishes, and it was difficult to make the bathtub work. Despite the proximity to the road and poor soundproofing, we slept well after dinner at the restaurant right next door. Quite a long wait, the staff seems overwhelmed, but the food is good. Simple breakfast but sufficient, and the coffee was perfect.

Good: The bed was comfortable, the linens were soft, the pillows were great. The location is set far off the road enough so that we did not hear any traffic. Bad: This is an old property that is not well-maintained. The room was supposed to have a microwave and it did not. There was what appears to be mold in the bathroom (which we did report to management). The continental breakfast served at the restaurant was the worst I have ever had. Poor quality food, messy dining room, food items not re-stocked. Carafe' of milk not chilled but left to sit out for the duration of the 90 minute serving time. I had to ask twice to have a table wiped down in order to have a place to sit. All of the serving implements were sticky with food. We only stayed there because we booked the day of and it was the only room left for miles. Definitely will not stay there again.

Somewhere between rustic and run down is the Bryce Canyon resort. Clean. And the bed was comfy, but definitely uncared for. Peeling paint. Outlets that don't hold a plug. Furniture and lights that haven't been updated, likely since it was built. And there really needs to be some sort of standard for what is called a resort because this was tbe farthest thing from it.
