Stowe Mountain Lodge

Pros: Pretty looking Nice view of stream Cons: Teeny tiny room. The 2 queen beds were pushed against the walls so I had to climb over my spouse to get in and out of bed No closets No Dresser drawers No place to place toiletries It took them 4 days to fix the TV OK hot water in am lukewarm in pm The refrigerator was so small that you couldn’t fit a half gallon of milk in it There was coffee but nothing else for breakfast not even rolls Almost no room clean up and towel sevices There was a false alarm that went off at 1:30 am on July Fourth. The staff was nowhere to be found for at least 15 minutes. I had to call 911 and the fire department didn’t show up for at least half an hour. The staff didn’t know how to turn their own alarm off and had to wait for the fire department to show them how to. We stood out in the parking lot for over an hour.

The staff was very sweet and attentive. It’s a lovely spot with plenty of places to relax and being along the river is very peaceful. I enjoyed the pool and the hot tub and sitting outside on at Adirondack chairs. Many nice touches.
