This hotel is dated has allot of imperfections. Breakfast is horrible. When I was there the waffle maker was broken. They only offered eggs & sausage as a hot breakfast.

Just an overnight stay on the way home from Florida. When I checked in, the staff member checking me in was very slow, and there were a lot of people trying to check in. The lobby was as hot as it was outside. They charged $25 for each of my 7lb dogs. I only paid $25 for both dogs at the LaQuinta in Monroe, LA. The room wasn’t clean. The carpet has stains, the shower was disgusting, there was mold in one of the corners of the room. The security latch was broken off. I slept on a sheet of my own on top of the bed with my own blanket. I have stayed in many hotels including many LaQuinta’s, and this one was by far the worst!!

This place is absolutely horrendous! There were 3 rooms in our group and each room was ridiculous. Our experience from check-in to checkout sucked.
First-they cancelled one reservation as a no show stating that our reservation said we were checking in on Thursday. Despite having our confirmation showing Friday through Sunday. Finally, someone who I assumed was the booking agent provided the booking information and the credit card to be charged and re-created the reservation with them having one room remaining. As of this morning, there remains a pending charge on my card for over $342.00 for a hold while the confusion was being sorted out. I’ll check to see if that charge is dropped tomorrow.
Second-the room was not clean at all! The shower base was filthy with brown soap scum. The shower curtain needed replacing. The shower handle turned all the way around in either direction and you had to figure out the stopping point. Luckily, I travel with cleaning supplies and my own towels.
Third- on Saturday afternoon a female opened the door to the room and said “oh I’m sorry”. I thought that they had given a key to a guest to our room by accident. I entered the hall to discover that this was a housekeeper dressed like someone who walked off the street wearing a bonnet on her head. She was at the end of the hall with other housekeepers talking loud and using profanity. Shortly thereafter, three housekeepers knocked on the door to say that we were scheduled to check out that morning and needed to be seen downstairs. The same person who checked us in with the initial confusion was there and again on the phone with the GM. (Her Name was Naz and was probably the best part of the hotel experience.) Again, the reservation was altered for checking out tomorrow July 5, 2026.
Lastly, upon checking out we proceeded to get ice for our cooler. It is impossible for me to describe the grossness of the ice machine condition. It appeared to not have worked in years. It had not been cleaned in many moons. There was a buildup of nastiness that needed scrubbing.
Needless to say, we will NEVER stay at this establishment again. If we could have found somewhere else to go, we would have moved. The holiday season had everything booked up.
