Morrison House, a Kimpton Hotel

Morrison House was once a go-to destination for us when it came to fine dining. Unfortunately, our recent experience has changed that. We were disappointed to see the restaurant take an active role in advocacy around public library book policies, especially on issues involving children and sensitive content. This is a divisive topic and one that feels entirely out of place for a business centered on hospitality. Because of this, we’ve lost interest and appetite in returning to “The Study.” Dining out should be about enjoying a great meal and atmosphere, not being confronted with controversial social positions. We strongly suggest focusing on what made your establishment successful in the first place—excellent food, service, and ambiance. Herb Hughes

Location was central to so many activities, shops, the river walk, restaurants and night life!

Conveniently located in the heart of Old Town Alexandria. This hotel sets the bar high for customer service and personal touch. From start to finish, it exceeded our expectations. The bartender (Sean) delivered high-end speakeasy cocktails, which sparked warm conversations amongst hotel guests seated at the bar. Along with the property manager (Miguel) who took the time to provide an engaging history tour of the property and could be spotted assisting his team around the whole hotel. A true heart for hospitality. Looking forward to future stays at this community property and welcoming team!
