Days Inn Bristol Parkway

Parkway is the best deal I found in Bristol, Johnson City and Elizabethton. I did not try Kingsport. Parkway has nice rooms for the price and the staff and owners are very nice. You can be street side or out back by a pretty pool. Some rooms are better than others. They are fixing them up as they can. If you don't like your room just ask, they don't mind moving you. I stayed 6 times in 6 different rooms. As in any motel, upstairs is quieter away from parking lot noises. My favorite rooms were 415 upstairs and the first one to the LEFT of the office downstairs on the corner. To the right is a huge suite. I never felt unsafe there.

Our expectations were not high, but the experience still managed to disappoint. The initial impression, upon entering the room, did not give a sense of cleanliness. Long hairs in the sink and on the tub didn't help. Skeevy. When I pulled up on the shower diverter to take a shower, I realized the faucet was connected to a rubber tube as the faucet sprang up and down. (photo attached) The sink faucet was loose, moving 1/2" as you turned the water on and off. Helping myself to a tissue, I was stunned when the entire dispenser came out of the wall. Aside from that, the rest was little things which show a general lack of concern for appearances.

I can’t figure out why this motel is rated so low. True, it’s not brand new but….it’s clean, everything worked, there’s a fridge in the room and a microwave, a work desk…there are USB plugs available (which many newer places don’t have), the shower was great…beds are comfy…I’d definitely stay again. Breakfast is more of a continental breakfast but that’s no reason for a 2….the front desk personnel were very polite and kind…a great find!
