The Hilton Garden Inn Richmond South Hotel

The room was ok, the staff very friendly, but the amenities lacking! NO COFFEE IN BREAKFAST AREA FOR THE DAY! COFFEE SERVED AT BREAKFAST!

Some genius decided weary travelers would prefer to futz with a new parking app to pay for parking instead of just putting it on your room bill. Nothing I wanted to do more late at night than deal with that. Now I have yet another business receipt to process. Apparently it’s ok here for semis to take up 10 spaces in an already undersized parking lot. As a frequent traveler, this is huge FAIL. Far too many other hotel choices to put up with all this nonsense.

We stay here annually for the Virginia State University homecoming and I have to say that the upgrades are very nice. Hotel is clean, quiet and well maintained although housekeeping is extremely slow and our room wasn’t ready until 2 hours after the 3PM checkin, which is the reason I only gave 3 stars. Every associate that I interfaced with was extremely friendly, but seemed to be handicapped by the housekeeping problem, especially when the hotel is near capacity. So, best advice is pack your patience!
