Extended Stay Deluxe Washington, D.C. - Fairfax

As a continuing guest, I enjoy my stay. Location suitable for me. Atmosphere is pleasant. My room is spacious with a good view. The property is well maintained inside and outside. Plenty of parking with good lighting. It walkable to parks, restaurants, grocery stores, movie theaters. Housekeeping comes with a smile, keeping the room clean and well supplied. Nick Bahou GM for 13+ yrs is personable, customer focused. Kim the ASM is both kind and helpful. I have recommended ESA Centreville to family and others. Where do I start, My husband booked this location because it is our anniversary and we were exploring Fairfax Virginia and enjoying the Mall and festivities, I wish he would have chosen another location. The staff on site do not know how to work their own televisions and didn’t have the cords for us to enjoy the Netflix and other apps so we watched the News and Hotel Swap shows for 4 days, The Front desk employees and online stated breakfast from 6:30am-9:30am and it was Mini muffins for a Toddler and tea. The house keeping come once a week we were told which is very unfortunate because you can not get extra sheets or pillows and you have to walk your dirty towels and wash rags to the front desk and they will give you new ones. The laundry room is filthy it’s woman’s undergarments on the table and on the heater vent in the laundry room, The dryers on the laundry room do not dry your clothes my husband and I had to dry our clothes 6 times and that was $4.00 for each time and $.25 for an additional 5 minutes. To spend $24 to dry your clothes is insane, We couldn’t even get help because they closed their gates at 10:00pm meaning there is NO FRONT DESK PERSON TO HELP WITH ANYTHING ONSITE unless you call the non emergency line and they tell you someone is on site but they are in their room and the person still haven’t came out to assist us with the dryers. The other guest leave their Trash at the door instead of taking it to the trash cans that’s at the end of the hall so you are smelling and looking at whatever is in the clear bags while walking the hallways. The shower water does NOT get hot at all. The atmosphere overall is quite no noise but again no one to be found for help.

This location is clean and safe. Don't expect ANYTHING more. There is nothing included in the room or kitchen. Not even paper cups. Zero. There is a sign that says you may request items. Because we could not even boil water ( no cups) we asked for a coffee maker. Front desk gave us one-- but the inside parts were all missing so still could not be used to make coffee. "Breakfast" is granola bars, muffins and coffee-- but only pump liquid coffee mate for it. Packets of instant oatmeal, but no way to make it. No bowls. They should not advertise this location as including bfast. Kudos to the cleaning staff but not management.
