Comfort Inn Capital Beltway / I-95 North

This hotel is not a place I plan to use again. Location is convenient to interstate/ capital beltway. Several fast food restaurants in same shopping center. That's where my pleasant experience ended. It snowed in the area 9 days before my stay. Much of the parking lot had still not been cleared. Sidewalks had a very narrow path that had been cleared, but you could not get to the sidewalks due to the mounds of ice piled up by the curbs. Huge safety and liability issue, but the staff did not seem to care. The room itself was dirty and outdated. The one upholstered chair had white stains splattered on the seat and arm. The desk chair had peeling pleather. The carpet was thread bare and in serious need of a good vacuum/ shampoo. The water pressure in the shower was very low.

What a horrible experience! My son is a truck driver and stopped there for an overnight stay after driving 10 plus hours. The desk person would not accept his payment option or credentials even after showing several items of proof and even having the trucking company's owner call directly. The desk person refused to involve a manager even after several request and wouldn't allow my son to even use the bathroom while waiting more than an hour at the desk. The desk person was rude and off putting and treated us with distain and contempt. After jumping through several hoops my son was given a subpar room where the TV and heating did not work and the door appeared broken. There was no apology or attempt to make amends for the treatment. There was no empathy or acknowledgement of fault. The desk person was dismissive and literally scoffed and threats to make management aware of her behavior. I am discussed with how my son was treated and will never recommend this location to anyone looking to be treated with any ounce of humanity!

Old and looking more than dated. Needs some definite upkeep. Over priced if not for the other prices in the area. That said it was safe and clean enough to be comfortable and meet my needs, but definitely would not have reserved here if I’d seen the place first.
