Crystal City Gateway Marriott

We stayed due to WMATA location for the 250th. Hotel check in quick, shuttle service was quick from DCA. Rooms need some updating, especially the bedding. Pillows absolutely suck! They go flat. Comforter not he same as what some other full service Marriotts use and the bed was too soft and lumpy for my liking. Thermostat looks like the original from when it was built and did not work on Auto properly, sometimes it would but other times we had o turn off and back on. Restaurant is excellent. Metro inside access. A couple of places walkable to eat. All in all good but the bedding issue was a biggie for me, I didn’t rest well.

Staff was super friendly and courteous especially in the dinning area. Hotel room was very clean and quiet. I do think that the coffee served in the dining area should be a courtesy and not $2.50 plus tax

Return stay at this very convenient and comfortable hotel. Great location for business or pleasure. Inside connection to Metro station for easy travel throughout DC and VA area. Free airport shuttle. Marriott Lounge offered great breaksfast, evening food and all day beverages. Staff was personable and great at their jobs. Special recognition to Asst. Front Desk Manager, Blandell, who insured our room needs were met.
